take the pleasure Caedon gave.
“Please, Caedon, I’m going to c o m e,” Eloise cried out in a strained voice. She was silenced by his lips crushing down onto hers. He kissed her hard with clashing teeth and biting. A myriad of emotions came across their bond and overwhelmed her. Eloise moaned and twisted against him as he thrust in and out, never altering his rhythm.
“Come for me again, baby , ” Caedon whispered. Those final words were her undoing . Caedon’s command was always enough to push her over the edge. Eloise came hard around his cock. Her pussy tightened, and her clit pounded in a steady, hard throb until she convulsed with a burning pleasure and fire bursts of color erupted around them. She felt Caedon explode , too , and her inner muscles milked his cock. Each shot of his release drew her higher and higher. It seemed to last forever as Eloise sat cradled in Caedon’s arms watching the sparkles of light and breathing in her mate.
    “I’m so tired,” she sighed.
“You should be,” Caedon chuckled. “Let’s eat and enjoy the quiet of our evening. Then we’ll sleep, baby,” Caedon’s voice comforted her in this moment when she felt most vulnerable and exposed. She felt their connection completely for the first time and wished she could talk to Layla.

When the first light of morning rose in the sky, Caedon could feel Eloise’s alarm through their bond. Since he was no longer wrapped around her, she likely wondered where he ’d got ten off to. Caedon called to her in his mind, “ I’m in the kitchen. The mission team arrived and the briefing is soon .”
    “ May I come?”
“ Of course, Eloise. Get dressed and come down .”
“We have approximately thirty minutes before my mate gets down here,” Caedon told the men. “I want her filled in but not terrified. Are we clear?”
Nods of agreement stretched around the table. Caedon, Seamus and Donovan had been joined by Lucas, Gage and Granger. Having two weapons specialists on the mission spoke to the potential dangers.
“We have a concrete plan,” Lucas, the senior officer in the group spoke, “with the intel gathered yesterday, we know a lot about their behaviors. Most importantly, we know when they are at their weakest.”
Lucas looked over at Caedon, “First priority is getting your parents out alive but we have no idea what condition they’re in , so Donovan will be part of the extraction crew. If they need any medical attention, he can provide it.”
“And Caedon should stay close in case I need a blood transfer. It can only come from a blood relative,” Donovan interjected. Both Lucas and Caedon nodded.
“I want the bastard who took them. You said you thought you knew who it was and that he’s on site. I want first chance to take him out,” Caedon demanded. His voice was fierce until he heard the gentle gasp behind him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
The men each acknowledged Eloise with nods or murmured good mornings while Caedon watched her cross the room to stand at his side. Caedon was angry with himself when he saw that Eloise’s hands shook. He’d frightened her.
“Can I know the plan?” When no one responded to her request, she continued, “I know it includes me staying here out of harm’s way. I won’t argue that. I just want to know how you’ll go about the mission so I don’t worry as much.”
Lucas turned to Caedon to ascertain his permission before sharing the mission plan with Eloise . When Caedon nodded, Lucas produced a smile that didn’t reach his eyes and cleared his throat.
“Okay. Everyone grab a chair and pull it up around the table,” Lucas instructed.
Caedon reached for Eloise’s hand and sat her on his lap , so grateful she was here with him. Being away from her during this period of Acclimation would have been dangerous for both of them. As their bond grew, they had needed to be near one another, to drink from each other as often as possible. Last
