illusion that I’m not wearing anything underneath. I pick up a pair of nude sandals. I didn’t wash my hair so I pull it out of the messy bun on top of my head. It falls in natural waves down my back. I run my hair brush through it and I go for the natural look with the makeup. I spray myself with some perfume and deem myself ready.
I walk out my bedroom, grabbing my phone and bag on the way and walk into the kitchen. I look through the fridge for dinner tonight.
I wonder if it’s going to be tense with this Melissa coming round.
I see there isn’t much, so I make a little list to make spaghetti bolognese and to grab some garlic bread.
Just as I’m finishing writing the little list Tyler beeps. Déjà vu.
I stuff the list in my bag and walk to the front door, pick up my keys and lock the door behind me.
I walk over to his car and climb in the passenger side.
“General” He nods his head at me and gives me a two finger salute while smirking.
“ Ice” He gives me a ‘what the fuck’ face and I laugh.
       “ Ice, what’s that about?” I smile.
“Because when you get me hot, I get wet” I wink at him. “If I’ve got a pet name you should too” The look on his face says he’s less than pleased.
“You suck ”, he grumbles playfully.
“I know ” I wink and stick my tongue out.
“Is this how today is going to be? If so I may need a break at some point to relieve some pressure” I throw my head back and laugh.
“I’m so glad I can make y ou laugh. But I’m being serious” I stop laughing and look at him.
“Didn’t you ‘rel ieve the pressure’ before you came and got me” I ask.
“Of course, but if we keep joking like that and we have to go in Ann Summers, I’m definitely going to need a break”, he sighs. I smile and buckle myself in.
“Ok , I’ll try and keep it innocent” I turn to look at him with the innocent eyes.
“Ha. Yeah right. You haven’t go t an innocent bone in your body” I gasp in mock offence.
He laughs and puts the car in reverse.
“I’m offended. I’m more innocent than you” I cross my arms over my chest and raise my eyebrow.
He looks at me and shakes his head.
“Don’t know what you’re talking about, babe. I’m practically a monk” I look at him with a slack jaw.
“A monk, I’m pretty sure a monk wouldn’t do what we did on Sunday” He smirks.
“Well this monk does b ut that was the only time I’ve ever touched myself”
“Like fuck. I’m the V irgin Mary then” He laughs.
We’re half way to town when I remember the list in my bag.
“Are you busy tonight?” I ask him. He flicks his eyes over to me.
“ Nope I was just going to sit at home and watch TV why?”
“Well we have Melissa coming round for dinner tonight. An d I’m cooking spaghetti bolognese. You can keep me company”
“But that’s a family thing. Wouldn’t you just want it with you, Jack, Justin and Melissa?” I shake my head.
“No. I want you there. Please you can be there to give me moral support”, he sighs and nods his head.
“I’ll come, but if it seems l ike I’m not welcome. I’ll leave” I smile and settle back in the seat for the rest of the drive.
“So where are we going to first?” Tyler asks after we park the car.
“Somewhere to find a kindle ” He nods and we make our way through the shops.
“When do you next work?” I a sk him as we’re walking around the shops. We find a kindle in Argos. I said to get the basic one because it’s easier to work than any of the others.
“Tomorrow night”, he replies. I nod my head and grab his arm and drag him towards the Ann Summers shop.
He groans and tries to slow down.
“The quicker we do this. The quicker we can have something to eat” He narrows his eyes at me and starts walking at a normal pace.
      We walk in
