    Chapter 6
    " Home Again "

Samson came back later, advising that except for the bartender, the bar was empty, and there was nobody at the pool. They watched a movie and went to bed. The next morning, as the  sun was still waking up, they grabbed a quick breakfast and took a sunrise walk on the beach. Following this, they hopped on the bikes and enjoyed a long ride down the coast . Stopping to visit a lighthouse, they climbed the spiral staircase and stood at the rail of the gallery deck enjoying a breathtaking view. Walking slowly around the deck they could see for miles and miles, both inland and ocean side. It was breathtaking no matter which direction you were staring. Afterwards, they hit a few antique shops, but since all they had were saddle bags, Stax was limited to what she could purchase.
Riding along the coastline until Samson advised that he was starving yet again, they stopped at a quaint Seaside Restaurant for shrimp and crablegs. After having had a couple of margarita's with their meal, they decided to spend a little time on the pier watching the fishermen before heading back on the bikes. As they lingered, the fishermen would pull up a string of fish or open the lid of their coolers and show off their catch for the day. All things considered, it was a pleasant afternoon. Arriving back at the motel, they went in and watched a movie, before going back out to the patio for drinks and fresh sea air. Samson eventually left them, citing a possible shark attack, and chuckling to himself he grabbed his Cut and walked out the door.
It was after sundown when Stax and Strangler moved inside. He went to the table and sat down with his magazine and she headed to the bathroom to take a hot shower. Knowing that  her hair had absorbed the salty air all day, she washed it especially good and wrang it dry with her hands. Then she toweled it dry and put the new extra vitamin conditioner in that she had bought today at the drugstore. Giving it time to do it's magic, she washed with her new coconut body wash, shaved her legs, cleaned her toe nails and let the water out. Turning on the shower to rinse herself and the conditioner out of her hair, she then stepped out of the tub and dabbed on her new coconut body spash.
"For fuck's sake, I've been acting like a goddamn tourist" She chided herself in the mirror. "Nope, can't ever be," She retorted to her reflection, "I'm a born and raised Floridian. No matter where or how far I go, this will always be home, not a fucking vacation destination." Satisfied with her reasoning, she opened the door to let some steam out, it was getting a little hard to breath.
"You know I'm gonna tap that, right?" She heard him tease when she opened the door. "Dream on Prez, your credit ain't no good here." She said flippantly. Hw got up from his chair and walked into the bathroom where Stax was trying to dry herself off. He took the towel from her hands and pushed her back gently, leaning her slightly backward against the sink counter with his body. "I take what I want Bitch," he said with an evil grin as he bent down and kissed her. "And then I walk away." He added, leaving her standing there watching his big frame walk back to his chair across the room. It wasn't lost on Stax, that this was the first taste of normal that she had experienced in over a week. She didn't feel guilty, or wrong for feeling something other than grief, she felt alive. This was a good sign
