minute.” He reached over to pull open the drawer underneath the table next to the bed and removed a condom. He opened the package and quickly sheathed his erection. He moved back to her, helping her remove her shirt and unclasp her bra as she wiggled out of her fitted white pants.
She grabbed onto his strong, bulging biceps and pulled him on top of her. When he bent down to suckle on her neck, she moaned loudly. As she writhed under his expert licks, she wondered, How’d he know that was my spot?
Kyle found every inch of her tantalizing and arousing, and he couldn’t hold back anymore. He slid into the warm slickness between her legs and they got lost in the rhythm of each other’s bodies, moving together in perfect tune with one another.
Liana felt the pleasure within her surging until it peaked. She shuddered as she succumbed to the delicious waves of her orgasm. When he felt her pulsing body beneath him, he too gave in and gripped her hips tightly as he rode her to his own powerful release.
They lay in the now sweat-soaked sheets, exhausted from their passionate exercise. Liana’s head rested on Kyle’s smooth chest, as he stroked her hair. She looked up at him, and grinned. “So what happened to that beverage?”
“Sorry. Guess there were other more pressing matters.”
She shook her head at him and smiled.
“Don’t worry, though. I can still get it for you.”
Liana placed her head on his chest again and wrapped an arm around him. She didn’t give a damn about a beverage. That was the furthest thing from her mind. All she cared about now was staying here, right next to him, for as long as she could. Though she knew she had to leave before morning, she snuggled closer to him and was lulled to sleep by the soothing rhythm of his breathing.
Chapter Fourteen
The sun greeted Liana the next morning and she opened her eyes, squinting against the bright light that shone through the curtains. Aww, hell.
She pushed her body up, and rested on an elbow as she strained to look at the clock on the nightstand on the other side of the bed. It was seven thirty in the morning. How did I let myself fall asleep? I was supposed to go back to the room last night.
Liana slowly removed Kyle’s arm from her shoulder, and listened for the steady rhythm of his breathing as she crept out of the bed. He was sound asleep and she was grateful for that.
Liana slipped on her clothes and shoes without making a sound. She tiptoed toward the door, and couldn’t help but feel like she was in her early twenties again. Too damn old to be doing the walk of shame, I know that much, she told herself.
But she hadn’t intended to stay with Kyle overnight. They weren’t even close to being in a serious relationship, and she didn’t want to fool herself into thinking that this was anything more than what it was--a casual and fun cruise fling that she’d planned to leave in her past the moment she walked off of that cruise ship and returned to her regular life.
Liana sped walked back to her cabin. She slipped the door key in and pushed the door open, slowly, careful not to make a sound so she wouldn’t wake Alyssa. That’s if Alyssa’s even here tonight , she told herself. Knowing her, she’s shacked up with Lloyd somewhere anyway.
But as she fully entered the room she noticed a form underneath the sheets on Alyssa’s bed.
Liana held the door to make sure that when it closed the click was as quiet as possible. When Liana walked forward, passing the wall which blocked her full view of the room, she saw that her efforts to keep from disturbing Alyssa’s sleep were wasted, because Alyssa was wide awake.
Alyssa sat, propped up on her elbow, a knowing, devilish grin on her face as she eyed Liana. She gave her friend the once-over, looking her up and down. “Hmmph, so what was it that you said about not being here to
