lifestyle.
Yeah, he had an ulterior motive. He wanted her to want to stay with them. Not having her around was going to be pure hell.
“Hey, I almost forgot. I want my belly button ring,” she demanded.
Mark and Neal exchanged broad smiles.

Two hours later, Alexis wasn’t all that sure she’d made the right decision. Her belly button hurt, as did her ass from squeezing it against the pain. Then there was the trip back hugging on Mark’s back on the back of the bike. It rubbed the thing. She sighed. It had been her decision.
She had a small bag of supplies and instructions on how to take care of it until it had a chance to heal. Maybe they should postpone the trip tomorrow . But the men were so looking forward to it. She sighed. She’d tough it through. Surely it would be better tomorrow.
Once back at the house, she immediately pulled off her jeans and pulled on the oversize T-shirt and collapsed on the couch.
    “I’m bushed.”
“Shopping was hard work, huh?” Neal asked.
“You try on everything in a store and tell me you’re not tired afterward,” she fussed.
“Why don’t we watch a movie, and then order in pizza?” Mark suggested.
“Sounds good to me,” Neal said. “What do you think, Alexis?”
“I’m all for it. I like everything but olives. If you have to have them, I’ll pick them off.” She made a disgusted face.
Mark chuckled and turned her around to march her into the living room. He pushed her down on the couch then strode over to the entertainment shelves and searched through their vast assortment of movies for something to watch. Finally he picked out a lighthearted comedy that wasn’t raunchy or overly sappy.
The three of them settled on the couch and enjoyed the movie. Alexis even laughed out loud several times. She couldn’t remember ever having laughed so much at one time. It was freeing. Then she couldn’t remember the last time she’d seen a movie or TV show other than the news or financials. She really needed to expand herself more when she got home.
Home. There was that word again. She had promised herself not to think about leaving until it was time to go.
“Okay, time for pizza. I’ll order it.” Neal got up and headed to the kitchen and the phone.
Mark pulled Alexis into a tight hug. She winced when her belly button hit his belt buckle.
“Sorry, baby. I forgot.” He pulled back but continued to rub her arms.
“I’m okay. It just woke me up. I’ll be ready to eat when it gets here,” she teased, hoping to downplay the incident.
“Still, I knew better.” He leaned in carefully and kissed her forehead.
“Pizza is ordered. I made half of it without olives.” Neal walked in carrying three beers.
“Thanks, I’m thirsty,” Alexis said, and promptly drank nearly half of hers right away.
The men laughed and sipped at theirs. No doubt she was going to be slightly buzzed by the time the pizza arrived. She guessed it didn’t matter. They weren’t going anywhere.
Once it arrived, they ate in the kitchen at the bar. Neal had to help her up on the stool and then keep a hand on her to make sure she didn’t fall off. She was on her second beer by the time she’d finished her pizza.
“I think it’s time for bed,” Mark commented when they’d finished.
“I need a shower first,” Alexis informed them. “I’m sweaty from trying on so many clothes.”
Mark and Neal helped her down from the barstool. They chuckled as she wove her way toward the stairs.
“Uh, uh, uh,” Neal said. “You’re a little too tipsy to walk up them yourself. Let me help you.”
“I’m not drunk. Just tight and feeling good,” she insisted.
“I know, but you can’t go upstairs alone.” Neal wrapped an arm around her and steered her up the stairs in a swaying pattern.
Alexis heard Mark snickering behind them. She turned to fuss at him and the room swam. Neal pulled her tighter against him and Mark gave her a slight push from behind.
