that you should be fairly comfortable with us.”
“It doesn’t make it right, though.” She sighed and hoped he would just go to sleep.
“I don’t want you to feel forced into this, Kate. We’re not barbarians or rapists.”
“I know that. I can’t deny that you made me feel good. Neither can I deny that I wanted you, but it feels wrong to want two men at the same time.
She hung her head. No, she couldn’t deny it. He’d seduced her, but she had let him. Perhaps some part of her wanted them. But why? They were older than she was, and more knowledgeable. They were big men all over. Even now she could feel Bruce’s hard cock poking at her stomach. He’d pressed it into her when she’d come earlier.
Some part of her was curious about what men like Bruce and Marcus could do to her. Bruce had just given her an orgasm unlike anything she’d ever had on her own. Would it always be like that, though? Would they normally just take what they wanted from her? She guessed time would tell, because she belonged to them now. Even if Mike lived, he had signed her over to them. As mad as she was at him for doing so without talking to her about it, she couldn’t say that she was unhappy with them. Deep down, she had already chosen them but thought they were still grieving for their wife. She’d even felt guilty for thinking like that about them.
“Stop thinking it to death, Kate. Everything will be fine. Just give it time.” He ran his hand up and down her back. Then he tangled his hand in her hair and drew her closer. “Now go to sleep, baby.”
Kate closed her eyes and almost as if he’d ordered it, she fell asleep.

“Bruce? Wake up. I need Kate to wake up. Mike is running a high temp and asking for her.”
Bruce cursed. If they lost Mike, they might never truly have Kate. He leaned in toward her ear.
“Kate, baby. Wake up. Mike needs you.” Bruce shook her slightly and she moaned.
“What? What’s wrong?” She came awake then as if knowing. “It’s Mike. What’s wrong?” She started trying to climb over Bruce, but he held her still.
“Careful. I don’t want you to break your neck falling out of bed. Mike’s running a high fever. Let’s get you downstairs.” He threw back the cover and cursed as the cold air hit his bare chest.
Bruce knew she wouldn’t wait for either of them to get dressed, so he grabbed his shirt and socks and made sure Kate did the same. Then he followed her downstairs to the living room. Mike was tossing and turning on the couch. His flushed red face registered as being hot with fever.
“Mike. Can you hear me, Mike?” Kate took her brother’s hand and squeezed it.
“Kate? I’m sorry, Kate. I did what I thought was best,” Mike managed to get out in a gravelly voice.
“It’s okay, Mike. Just get well for me. I can’t deal with it if you die on me. Please don’t give up.”
Bruce watched as Kate struggled not to cry over her brother. He would do anything to help the young man, but this was up to God now. They could only do so much. He wanted to hold her and take away her pain, but that was beyond his ability as well.
Kate spent the next several hours bathing Mike in cool water. She talked to him almost the entire time about their past and a future where she was with him.
Bruce joined Marcus in the kitchen and poured a cup of coffee. His brother sipped on his then shook his head as Kate hurried in to change out the water for more cold water. Bruce took the large bowl and emptied it for her then filled it and carried it back to the living room. When he got back, Marcus was shaking his head again.
    “What?”
“She’s desperate for him to live, Bruce. If he doesn’t, and I don’t see it happening, she’s going to be devastated.”
“He’s her brother, Marcus. Of course she is.”
“Yeah, but she’s counting on him to keep her with him.” He ran his hand up and down the mug.
“She knows that’s not going to happen. But she’s scared.
