saw me. Diablo was just getting sick. He didn’t know he had the cancer, and Violet thought I should settle down. I wasn’t even sixteen when she packed up my stuff and made me leave.” Dusty’s tears were flowing freely now.
“As soon as I knew what Loco and Rabid were up to, I made sure I ended him. Never could get Rabid, but I did my best to help you, girl.” Rebel was trying to contain his temper.
Dusty looked at him in surprise. “Oh my God, you killed Loco?”
“Yeah, I did. And if I’d known earlier what Vi was doing, I’d have come and gotten you. Now dry your eyes before Darko comes looking for you.” He ran his calloused fingers down her face, wiping away the tears as best as he could.
Dusty finally had the hint of a smile on her face. “Thank you. I used to pray he’d die. Everyone thought I killed him somehow. I would have if I could have. They said his bike exploded and I made a bomb, as if I knew how.” She looked at Rebel strangely, a thought crossing her mind. “My dad used to wipe my tears like that.”
“Don’t give that piece of shit Loco another thought. He ain’t worth any more of your time. Why don’t you go make yourself pretty and I’ll see you in a few minutes?” Rebel stood up and left the room and went in search of Violet Rose.
He found her sitting with Chrissy, his shadow falling over the table. She looked up at him and wondered what the hell had him in such a foul mood. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up as Rebel yanked her out of her seat and pulled her out of the reception hall.
Once out in the parking lot, he looked at her with such hatred that Violet was truly scared.
“So I’m a twin now? Why didn’t you tell me that? You bitch, if you didn’t want the girls, you knew I did. Well, chew on this Violet: your stepdaughter, Bebe? She’s my biological daughter, too. Diablo didn’t seem to be able to make babies, so when Carmella came to me and asked me to give her a kid, I did. Make up any more lies to those girls and I’ll choke the life out of you.”
He strode away, leaving her standing there openmouthed.
Violet walked slowly back into the Country Club and found herself a bathroom. She tried to calm herself down as much as she could, but there was this odd feeling that life was about to change for her. Bebe was Rebel’s daughter and she had never saw that coming. It all made sense now. She still loved Bebe, but she doubted that Diablo had known that she wasn’t his daughter. Rebel had left out a few things too, like how Carmella had gotten caught fucking Rebel and that was why she’d disappeared and Rebel had been charged with her murder. She wondered how much Rebel knew about her affair with Diablo before he went to jail.
She prayed he didn’t find out after of these years.

W hiskey and Elena were unaware of the drama that buzzed around them. They only had eyes for each other and they danced quite a bit. A few times, Whiskey felt Thrash’s or Joy’s eyes glaring at him but he paid no attention to them. This was his daughter’s wedding and his time with Elena. Nothing was going to ruin that for him. He watched as Deidra cut the wedding cake and laughed as she smashed some of it into Mad Jack’s face. Elena laughed alongside him and held his hand firmly.
As the wedding was winding down, Whiskey declined attending the parties that were being held. He wanted to be alone with Elena and have her to himself. They drove back to her house separately, as Zero had brought his car to the Country Club. He let Elena lead the way and thought she looked so cute in her big truck.
He parked next to her and paid her babysitter. He removed his tux and stripped down to his wife-beater before sitting on the couch. Elena quickly made coffee while sneaking peeks at him. As soon as the coffee was ready, she brought it out on a tray and placed it on the ottoman.
“Do you mind if I change? I’m dying to get this dress off, but I need help with
