unsure. “I know now that my dad was the one who broke her heart. But when he died, we had no idea. So when he asked us to seek revenge, we agreed. All of us made a blood oath to come to Wolf Valley and avenge him.”
This was more shocking than anything else she had heard today. “A blood oath?” Was he still caught up in that? Did he intend to hurt her, now they were alone in the middle of nowhere? There was no one to hear her cry out. But they were mated; he couldn’t hurt her. Or was the blood oath stronger than the mating bond?
He saw her fear and put an end to it. “No. I could never hurt you. And anyway, Bliss found a way to break it.” He hesitated. “But not before we did some bad things. We stole and damaged property. We hurt people, Natalie. I am not proud of it, and we are trying to make amends, but the past cannot be changed.”
“But it can be forgotten. And it will not shape our future.” She kissed him, taking his hand and saying, “Take me to bed, Riley. For now, it’s just us alone here. That’s all that matters.”
“I hope we don’t break my bed,” he said, leading her to his bedroom. Maybe he had a right to be worried—it wasn’t exactly sturdy.
“You know, what? I kind of hope we do. Then when we move my stuff in here, we can replace it.” His fingers began to work their magic on her body, trailing down over her breasts, lingering in just the right places.
“You mean you will live here with me?” He kissed her, his hands stroking her bottom, pulling her tightly to him so she could feel the press of his hardness against her stomach, Damn, how she wanted to see his incredible body naked again, she was already addicted to him.
“I have been thinking that my father would want me to help rebuild Wolf Valley, and that maybe we could open a bakery.”
    He burst out laughing.
“What’s so funny?” she asked, her fingers going to the hem of his T-shirt and lifting it up over his chest, and then up over his arms, although she needed some help.
“Me. In a bakery.” He saw her irritated look and then added, “Unless I can get someone to look after Sol, you will not have any cakes left. And if I am serving customers, you might not have any of those either. The blame for all of this bad behaviour has been put squarely on my shoulders.”
“Why?” she asked, her voice turning sympathetic.
“Because Bliss married Hugo, who is a good man. Salt of the earth type. And Cole became the deputy. Now, if anyone has done a one-eighty and become the good guy, it’s him.”
“Well. Let’s see what they think when you are seen with the old alpha’s daughter. They haven’t seen me around for so long, they might be impressed that you tempted me back.”
“I think you are the tempting one, sweetheart.” With that, he nearly ripped her shirt off, his fingers undoing her bra and then flinging it aside. “You won’t be needing that anytime soon, I want you naked in my bed for the night. I intend to make love to you in every position I can think of.”
    “Show me.”
She saw his eyes glint amber as his wolf surfaced. A moment later, Riley had him back under control. Or as controlled as he was going to be when his mate was half naked in front of him.
However, he wanted her to be fully naked. Deftly undoing her pants, he slipped them off, letting them pool on the floor before helping her step out of them. Then he eased her down onto the bed, spreading her thighs with his hands. Holding her breath, she did as he asked, craning her neck forward to watch him.
With one finger, he pushed inside her sex, in and out, deeper and deeper, her arousal increasing with each stroke against her inner walls. Leaning forward, he kissed her clit, maintaining the rhythm of his fingers, her climax rapidly approaching. She wanted to hold on, enjoy his touch for eternity, but when his tongue flicked out over her clit, her world exploded.
Riley sucked her clit, nipping it with is teeth until she whimpered
