legs, pushing my dress up over my hips.

I laid there with my hands by
my head waiting for what I assumed would be his half-hard cock entering my
pussy.  I closed my eyes and thought of Ethan.  I remembered the texture of his
tongue as he licked my cunt in his office above the city.  I remembered the
tenderness and the possible tear in his eye.

    Then I thought of Jared’s
tenderness, an almost fearful kind.  He always wanted it rough but held back
when he fucked me.  He never wanted to hurt me.  Ethan was brave enough to hurt
me, but that day in his office his passion was different.  He wasn’t reserved
like Jared.  He came at me full speed with a desire to be with me completely.

    I waited for the stranger’s
cock to glide in, a new texture to learn and remember, but it never came.  I
heard a skull slam against the floor and opened my eyes to see my stranger
laying next to me unconscious.  I started to sit up but felt a firm grip on my
arms lifting me to standing.

I was face to face with Ethan
in his mask from the first night, yellow eyes burning into me.  He didn’t have
to ask what I was doing there, I heard him yell at me through his gaze.

    Despite the adrenaline running
through my body I met his stern stare with hope and love.  I felt my face relax
and my jaw pulsed in waves of pain.  It felt like a knife sliced through my
cheek and I broke our gaze.

Ethan let go of one arm but
held fast to the other.  He made his way toward the main doors of the ballroom,
dragging me with him.  When he discovered I was slowing him down, he picked me
up in his arms like a superhero and carried me out and up the stairs.

    We entered the familiar dark
hallway that led to the red-lit room, and he didn’t put me down until we had
reached the bed with the door locked behind us.

I laid on my back and stared up
at the ceiling while I heard him shuffling around the room.  Ethan had pulled
the top of my dress back up, but left the straps dangling under my arms.  Then
I felt a warm cloth on my cheek, held in place by a strong hand.

I looked up at Ethan who had
worry in his eyes.  He let me reach up to remove his mask, and with his other
hand he gripped my fingers.  He brought my hand to his mouth and kissed the
skin.

I parted my lips to speak, but
he placed a finger on them to keep me silent.  I wanted to tell him I loved him
and that I believed his story about his wife.  I wanted to tell him that I
couldn’t live without him, but he must have seen it in my eyes because he
smiled with one corner of his mouth.

When he felt himself smile, he
turned his head to the side and stared into a dark corner of the room.  I
wondered what he was thinking and if he was punishing himself for being happy.
He stood up abruptly and made his way toward the window.

The air seeping in was cooler
than before and my skin formed small bumps in response.  Ethan seemed
completely unaffected by the chill and stood his ground.

“What is it?” I asked him, but
he banged a fist against the wall.

“Mrs. Banks, I will only tell
you this once.  There is no talking in this room.”

But I had too much to say, I
felt like I would explode if I stayed silent another minute, and that’s what I
did.

I jumped from the bed and
started shouting.  Too many words escaped for me to remember, but I yelled
obscenities and how could you’s until I was almost out of breath.  I had
put up with him for the last time.

My yelling was met with having
my back thrust against a wall with my arms raised up and Ethan’s hot breath
filling my lungs.  He was kissing me to shut me up and I wasn’t in a position
to fight back.

His tenderness was gone and his
lips were rough.  My jaw ached under the pressure of his face and a tear rolled
down my cheek from the pain.  He didn’t seem to notice and pushed his whole
body up against me.  I felt like I would disintegrate under the
