take you back to your apartment, unless you want to spend the night here?”
“I’d better go back. We still need to take this slow for now.”
“I’ll drive you. I’m going back to my ranch. Lann, I gather you’re staying here.”
Lann grabbed a towel and got out to dry off. “I am.”
He reached in and pulled Bliss out. Then he took a towel and rubbed her down. “It’s best you go home tonight, or I’d be making love to you most of the time. I don’t think you’re quite ready for that much loving yet. You were tight. It’s been a while since you’ve had sex.”
Bliss knew her face had gone beet red. “You are so outspoken. It’s none of your business when I had sex.”
“You told me it wasn’t good.”
“I did not. I said I thought it was all overrated or something like that.”
“And I offered to prove you wrong. Will you agree you were mistaken?”
Bliss wrapped the towel around her and started to walk into the bedroom. “I’m not sure. We’ll see after a few more times. This might have been an aberration and not something you two can keep up.” She grinned and ran out of the bathroom.
She heard Lann speak to Bern. “She’s challenging us. Wait ’til she sees the wildcats she’s aroused.” They both laughed. A shiver of fear and excitement made her wonder if her remark had been wise.

Bern drove her home and saw her safely in her apartment. He checked all the rooms before leaving. “See you tomorrow.” He waved on his way down the stairs. “Go inside and lock your door.”
“Yes, oh master,” she yelled at him, and then she did as he said. Bliss watched out the window until his truck lights disappeared in the night. The clock showed 2:00 a.m., and she didn’t feel sleepy. Her body felt wound up, and desire for Lann and Bern had not gone out but simmered inside her.
Bliss sat in the lounge chair and put her hands to her face. What happened tonight? She’d never let herself behave so freely before. Most of the people who knew her saw her as reserved. And her few experiences with the opposite sex had left her feeling cold and not interested.
She’d decided her closest friends who’d described much better experiences were exaggerating, or she was frigid as her last boyfriend had accused. She thought of the years in between. It had been four years since she’d had sex.
Bliss went into her room and put on her nightgown. She stood in front of the floor-length mirror some previous resident had placed on the back of the bedroom door.
Her breasts looked fuller and her nipples peaked against the gown’s thin material. Below, her pussy lips clenched. Feeling daring, she pulled her gown off. It was a relief. The material irritated her oversensitive nipples. Her fingers brushed across them and moisture wet her lower lips. She ran her hand down her throat across her breasts, her flat abdomen, and ventured close to her lower lips.
Did she dare touch herself? Her mother had stressed modesty. It was not decent to look at yourself naked in the mirror, her mother had said. The one time Bliss had done it, her mom had caught her and scolded her.
When Bliss found herself becoming interested in boys, she had started watching the interactions between her mother and father more closely. Her father was a gruff man. He seldom showed affection. Most of time, he appeared constantly annoyed.
Although Bliss didn’t believe he’d ever hit her mother, he had cowed her with his rough tone and demanding orders. Bliss did not understand her girlfriends wanting to get married. She got a scholarship to college and left home.
Still, she’d missed Saddlespurs and decided to return and open a lingerie shop. The timing had not been good. It coincided with her brother’s turbulent divorce, and unable to say no, she moved in with him and her life changed. This time Bliss was going to open her shop and be independent.
But Lann and Bern had shown her a different side of herself, and a
