with Sherilyn, because she ended up working a lot later than usual. There was so much work that she barely had time to look up from her computer, including when George tried to entice her with what she recognized as a box of the new sexy chocolates. Feigning hard work, she had not even looked up at him.
“I’ll leave the box for you, doll, and in case you change your mind… we can go in the conference room. The walls are soundproof, so nobody will hear how wild I will drive you!” he stuck out his tongue at her lasciviously.
She never looked up, but had listened for the sound of him leaving the reception area and used her peripheral vision to make sure that he had walked away.
A while later, exhausted from typing and happy that George had left for the day—but not before another display of his tongue—she paused working to catch her breath. She thought that if she finished even more than she had been asked for, she would compensate for the black coffee incident and be on Rupert’s good side again.
Lotte went back to work. The next time she looked up, she saw Rupert putting a chocolate in his mouth. She took the moment to stare at his mouth as he had stared at hers. His mouth and hands were the only things she had permitted herself to look at for any length of time. He savored the bonbon the same way she did—she knew he had a weakness for chocolates since he often took one from her desk and she had brought boxes to his office at his request.
“What do you want for dinner?” he asked, selecting a second chocolate. “I am hungry.” He picked up the box that was on the counter and Lotte froze.
He had just eaten two of the chocolates from the sexy line. She jumped up from her desk.
“I am actually leaving now!” she said a bit more abruptly than she had planned to, but she knew that she had to get out of there because she had heard stories about the effects of those chocolates. It did not take long for them to kick in either.
“I still will buy you dinner first. You can eat and then go.”
Lotte practically jumped out of her skin.
“That is very kind of you, Rupert, but you don’t have to.”
“I want to. I would be injured if you do not want me to do that for you. I was really too hard on you earlier today, and it was not really that big of a deal.”
She nodded. He had never showed this side to her before, and she wondered whether the chocolate could really be that powerful. What was he going to do in the office with glass doors where people could see?
“Okay,” she smiled softly and sat back down.
    “So what do you want?”
“Whatever, you are the one that is hungry. How about that Indian place you like so much—the regular?
Rupert nodded, and she ordered the food online. When she finished, typing with a flourish, she noticed that he looked at her longer than he usually did.
“Yes, I am hungry…” he said, and put his hand on her shoulder, his hand lingering, his fingers that she had admired splayed a bit. “You look like a chocolate bonbon, like on the cover of the box…” He went to pick up the box, but then his hand dug more into her shoulder. “You feel like an Acme bonbon tastes, like chocolatey silk. Kind of like that other company says their chocolates taste, and they come close, but ours really feel like silk. You feel like that.”
Lotte tried to stand up again, but his hand did not move from her shoulder. It was not that he was trying to force her down, but more like he was not able to keep his hands off of her. She put her hand over his.
“Rupert,” she picked up the box of chocolates from the counter. “You ate chocolates from the new line… the new sexy line…”
He stared at her as if absorbing what she was saying, his hand digging deeper into her shoulder.
“You put them out on the counter? You wanted me to want to fuck you?”
Lotte felt a rush of heat. She wished she was that devious. Yes, she did want him to fuck her, she realized, but not like
