favor. They all got special gifts wrapped for their mates as an early Christmas present. Especially after the show they had for them, it was going to be fun.
    The meeting was set to start in a few minutes. She wanted to have this done and be back before anyone noticed she was out of the house.
    “Freeze,” she heard Levi command and Ruby closed her eyes.
    Shit, she would have to be caught . Ruby froze in her spot and did not turn, afraid there was not one but both of her mates.
    “Look, Levi, she is hiding something,” Reggie said smugly.
    “I think you’re right, Reggie, maybe it has something to do with the meeting the girls just had. Do you think they are planning a bit of revenge for the cuffs?” Levi said and walked around her.
    Ruby rolled her eyes, “Where are Alexander and Trina?”
    “No worries, they are with your mother,” Reggie murmured in her ear. Ruby shivered, she loved it when they teased her like this, and they knew it.
    “Margie and Rodger arrived a few minutes ago, that’s why we were coming to find you. We had to let them in the wards, and now they are at the house. Margie made us leave, so they could have “grandparents’ time,” as she put it,” Levi said.
    “We were thinking maybe we could have a few minutes alone,” Reggie said wrapping his arms around her. “We’ve been busy lately.”
    This was true; Reggie was the Chosen who shared a seat with his twin sister Casey. They were the financial wizards of the group. And seriously, when they took over from the Old Council, things were a mess. Making sense of the old financial person’s records had been a nightmare. In addition, combining the Denver Pack with the New Council Pack was also hard. The assets were vast and needed constant monitoring. However, Reggie and Casey had worked it all out. Now they worked on making sure all the Magical communities that pledged themselves to the New Council were taken care of. Requests came in hourly for funds, and Reggie was always busy.
    Levi was still an Enforcer, even though he was the mate of a Chosen and on the Council. He helped Devon with training, and so more often than not, she could find him on the training field.
    Ruby loved her life, and thanked the Gods every day for them choosing her to be their mate. Things weren’t always settled, but since the birth of the babies, her family had gelled together. She loved it. Moreover, the sex was hotter than ever.
    Ruby never thought after being attacked by the Rogues that it would lead her to her mates, and to being on the Council. It had been a wild ride, one she was certainly glad she’d jumped on. Since meeting Cami and the others, her confidence had returned, they helped her through the dark times after her attack. Now, she was a formidable opponent, one her men, especially, didn’t like to piss off and they had with the stupid cuffs.
    “I would certainly love to take you up on that offer,” Ruby said disengaging herself from her mates’ hands. She was gonna make them sweat though, “But I only have a few more minutes to get my things and get back into the Pack house, remember, you have timers set on your silly cuffs. They will alert the Enforcers if I am gone for too long.”
    Levi frowned, “I think I can call and let them know that you are with us.”
    Ruby smiled and shook her head, “I am following the rules. I am nothing, if not compliant.”
    “Really?” Reggie said incredulously.
    “Oh yeah, so run along, I will see you in the meeting,” Ruby said and brushed by her mates, who were standing there with their mouths open.
     

     
    Cloe wrapped her medical supplies in the bag, stood up, and stretched. Having to practice out of the Pack office for the time being was a pain in the ass. The whole Pack knew they’d been grounded, it sucked, and Cloe could take care of herself. However, her men sided with the others. She was ready to make them pay.
