I nuzzle my head into Vince’s broad chest and inhale his fresh scent. The corner of my lips kick up into a wide smile; he’s wearing the cologne I got him as a gift for our wedding. I wrap my arms tighter around him and sway with the music. We took dance lessons for our wedding, but the first dance is long over and I just want to relax in his arms and enjoy the moment.
It’s late and the kids are gone. Becca looked beautiful as always in her pale pink chiffon bridesmaids dress, but seeing little Chloe in her arms, lit up her face and made her that much more beautiful. I can’t wait to be holding my own little one. I can’t wait to feel that happiness.
Jax and Ethan are practically attached to Dom’s hip copying everything he does, so watching her snuggle with her little mini me made me happy. Linda snatched her up a few minutes ago to take the kids to bed. I’m surprised Becca let her, but judging by Dom’s roaming hands maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised they wanted a little alone time.
Dom’s hands travel lower and a bright blush travels up my cheeks while I look away.
“What are you thinking about sweetheart?” Vince’s deep voice makes me pull back slightly to look into his dark eyes. I don’t have to guess hard to know what he’s thinking about.
“Just about the baby,” I answer and kiss the little dip in his throat.
He smiles down at me, “you’re an awful liar Elle. You’re thinking something naughty.” His voice is teasing.
That blush returns with a vengeance and I can’t help the grin on my face. I whisper into his chest, looking up at him through my lashes, “Dom is being a little handsy.” Just as I say the words I hear a smack and we both look over to see Becca biting her lip and pointing a finger at Dom. Her face is bright red but she settles back into his arms as he chuckles at her admonishment. They’re so freaking cute; they were made for each other.
“You look jealous. You want me to feel you up too?” He leans in closer to whisper in my ear, “I was trying to be a good boy. But for you I’ll be as bad as you want.” His head dips down and he kisses the crook of my neck. A small satisfied sigh leaves my lips followed by a gasp as he nips my ear lobe. I open my eyes to see his sexy smirk.
“I just hope we always have this. Even after the baby.” I can’t help but to think it will fade. I hope it doesn’t. I don’t know what I’d do without him.
His smile widens, “Sweetheart, you’ll never be rid of me. You’re mine forever.” My heart swells in my chest.
“You’re mine too.” I get on my tip toes to give him a quick kiss on the lips. He’s all mine. An asymmetric grin forms on his face as he looks down at his left hand.
He twists the platinum wedding ring on his ring finger with his thumb. “Claimed and shackled baby.”
Vince gets down right in the middle of the song, I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You , in the middle of the dance floor and kisses my small baby bump through the lace wedding gown. My fingers spear through his hair and shyly smile down at him. He’s so happy to be a father. He looks up at me, with both hands on my belly, “I wouldn’t have it any other way sweetheart.”
I don’t know if it’s the hormones or if I’ve really never been this happy in my entire life, but I feel so full of love that tears leak from my eyes. I brush them away and as I do, I register the clinking of glasses and look around to see everyone’s eyes on us, tapping their silverware against champagne glasses.
Vince stands up and kisses me, earning us a round of cheers and cat calls. I break the kiss and smile. I can feel his smile against my lips too.
“I love you sweetheart.” He says.
    “I love you too Vince.”
