I
frowned at the thought that Grace was financially in trouble, until my eyes
rose and I caught the name, William Beaumont, on the statement.
    “Is that your older brother?”

She squealed loudly as the wheels on her chair shot her
backwards and over my toes. “Bloody Hell, Beaumont.” I griped but she scowled
at me.
“It serves you right for creeping up on me” she scolded
as she continued to glare and reached out to quickly shut off the monitor.
“I wasn’t creeping up on you, you just didn’t hear me.”
She lifted her brows as though disagreeing but I shook my
head and ignored her. I tipped my chin back to the screen that had displayed
the information she had obviously illegally hacked into, “You didn’t answer my
question.”
“That’s because I don’t want to answer your question.
It’s my business.”
I smirked at her, “I’m pretty sure information relating
to someone else’s bank account isn’t actually your business, Beaumont.”
“Why won’t you call me Grace?” she grumbled as she hit a
couple of switches and the images on the mounted screens changed to different
zones.
“Why don’t you call me Kade?”
    “Why are you always argumentative?”
“Why do you always answer a question with a question?” I shot
back, thoroughly enjoying the annoyance that started to appear in her eyes.
“Why do you always endeavour to infuriate me?”
My dick was getting pretty hard, pretty quickly. She was
fucking stunning when the fire of irritation blazed in her eyes and I was
tempted to continue winding her up just to see how far I could actually push
her. To watch her hit her limit and then start to bend and submit when she
realised just how commanding I could be would be a damn exceptional sight. It
was bating my boredom anyway.
“Because you continue to exasperate me.”
“What?” she asked with genuine confusion and I shook my
head in bewilderment at her ignorance with how infuriating she actually was.
“You,” I said as she stood and put her hands on her hips.
“Go on” she pressed with a stern look and I rolled my
tongue around my teeth as I tried to fight off my own irritation with her
defensive stance.
“Oh come on Beaumont, you know you’re the most hostile
and unwelcoming person on the planet.”
Her brows hit her hairline and she actually looked
stunned at my statement. “I’m hostile? Then what the hell does that make you,
antagonistic?”
I laughed and took a step closer to her, smiling when she
backed up a little, her arse hitting the desk with a harsh bump that caused her
eyes to blink with the slight pain. “Maybe, although I’m not too proud to admit
it. You though,” I reached her, trapping her body against the desk so she
couldn’t escape and defer the conversation again. “You think you are too special
for anyone.”
She stared at me with indignation and I noticed the rapid
rises of her chest with my entrapment. Was she as turned on by the situation
between us as I was?
“I don’t think I’m anything special, Kade. I never have,”
I watched as her teeth sank into her lower lip and she coughed slightly to
demand my eyes back on hers. “I know I’m nothing special. Why do you say that?”
She looked pretty angry with me and I smirked as I leant
forward, my ears catching the hitch in her breath as I brushed her breasts with
my shoulder when I bent into her. “But see, sweetheart,” I moaned slightly when
she shifted her leg and her thigh rubbed against my erection. “I happen to
think that you’ll be very special when I fuck you.”

She shoved me hard and I stumbled back slightly, but then
she pushed again, giving me no choice but to take a couple of steps backwards
as she stalked me. “But I think you’re very much mistaken, Mr Hamilton. There
is no way in this era or the next that you’ll ever get to fuck me.”
My dick was growing harder and harder as she continued to
pursue me but she didn’t realise how much of her arousal I
