paused so Carter could argue but all he could do was stare with his mouth gaping. “Are we good?” Reid asked and Carter nodded. A large grin filled Reid’s face. “Great. Get your ass up.” He commanded as he turned and strode into the bathroom. Carter was on his feet and moving so fast, he looked like he’d been catapulted across the room.

Chapter 8

Reid pushed his hand across the bed and it kept going, sliding across empty mattress. He blinked, clearing his vision and a wide expanse of bright, white sheets made his eyes hurt. He rolled onto his back frowning as he scanned the room. Carter was pulling his shirt on and he dropped onto the bed next to Reid.
“Were you planning to sneak out?” Reid teased as he sat up. Carter smiled and shook his head.
“No. I was just about to wake you up and say goodbye.” He said as he pushed his hand through Reid’s hair. Reid shut his eyes and moaned happily.
“Why do you have to go? I’m supposed to take advantage of you this morning.” He complained as he slid his hand under Carter’s shirt and nibbled at his jaw. It was rough like fine sandpaper and Reid’s lips started to sting a little. He loved that. Carter tilted his head, offering his ear and Reid took his earlobe between his lips and sucked. Carter groaned and shivered.
“I help at the store on Sundays. It's always busy after the church crowd gets out and I do most of the stocking so my parents don’t have to during the week.” He explained. Reid smiled against Carter’s ear. The fact that he still helped his parents was pretty adorable.
“Can I come? I can help.” Reid offered and Carter tensed and pulled away.
“You want to go to my parents’ store?” He asked carefully. Reid’s brows pulled together and he nodded. Why was he concerned. Unless…
“Would your parents have a problem with that? With us?” His stomach squeezed at the thought but stopped when Carter shook his head wildly.
“No! Not at all!” He promised and Reid looked at Carter expectantly.
“Then, what’s the problem?” Reid asked. Carter cringed.
“It’s my parents .” He stated and Reid became more confused. Carter sighed and pushed his hands through his hair. “You’d meet my parents and we’ve only just started…” He floundered and Reid laughed.
“Dating.” He said and Carter shook his head again.
“No. We’re not dating.” He argued. Reid rolled his eyes and rose on his knees and swung a leg over Carter’s thighs and straddled him.
“We went on an actual date. We’re having sleepovers and really hot sex. You love my dog and my dog loves you. We’re dating, Carter.” Reid insisted as he fisted his hands in Carter’s hair and pulled his head back so he could stare into his eyes. “I want to know more about you. I want to see where you grew up. It sounds like you spent a lot of time in your parents’ store and that seems like a good place to start.” He said as he brushed his lips back and forth across Carter’s. Reid could feel Carter’s hard-on through his jeans and he wanted it.
“I spent all my time there.” Carter murmured as his hands skimmed down Reid’s back and closed around his ass. Reid ground his hips against Carter, trying to find relief.
“Then, let me come with you. Let me meet your parents.” Reid demanded as he traced Carter’s lips with his tongue. Carter growled softly as his fingers slid into the cleft of Reid’s ass.
“I don’t know if I’m ready for that.” He whispered and Reid felt Carter’s heart hammering against his chest. Reid made a shushing sound as he reached between them.
“It feels like you’re ready. Do we have time?” He asked as his hand cupped Carter through his jeans. He nodded.
“If we hurry.” Carter breathed as his hands closed around Reid’s face. His tongue surged into Reid’s mouth and Carter kissed Reid urgently before he tilted back and pulled his shirt over his head. Reid snatched a condom off the table and passed it
