leg, Jacob put a finger under her chin and tipped her head up, so he could see her face.
“How did you feel, being cuffed and chained to the bed, Megan?” he asked.
She tried to lower her head, and he chuckled, seeing a blush starting to creep up her cheeks.
“Look at me, and tell the truth,” he ordered.
She slowly raised her head back up. “Do we have to talk about it now?” she asked in a small voice. “I’m kind of embarrassed.”
“Yes, we do. I need to know how you are feeling, so next time we can work on any fears or anxiety you might be feeling.”
Megan sighed. “I was scared at first. There’s no one here but the two of us, you know? Nobody was going to step in if there was a problem, and I had to trust that you wouldn’t hurt me, or anything. I mean, I didn’t think you would…honestly…but…”
Jacob kissed the top of her head. “Thank you for that honesty, sweetheart. It’s okay to be afraid; this is all very new to you. Your trust means a lot, and so does your bravery.”
They sat together, in front of the fire, neither of them feeling the need to say anything; both of them just enjoying the closeness of the other.
After a while, he stretched and sighed. “Alright, sub, it’s time to get you home before they lock the place up and we’re stuck in here till morning.”
Megan pulled the blanket tighter around her. “Mmm, that doesn’t sound too bad to me.”
“Come on lazy, up you go,” Jacob said. He lifted her off his lap, stood her up, and then pulled the blanket from her body.
“Oh, that was an evil thing to do, Sir ,” she whined.
He laughed, and she let out a yelp, when slapped her on the ass. “Yep, I’m just an evil Dom. Now go and get dressed,” he growled.
Less than five minutes later, Jacob was standing by the bar while Megan went to get her coat and bag. He had called for a taxi, and as he stood waiting for her, he mulled over the fact that it would be a week before he could get over this way again.
He was surprised at how much he would miss her, and wondered if she was feeling the same way.
In no time at all, she was ready to leave. He retrieved his bag and pulled on his leather jacket, which the bar staff had kindly stashed behind the counter, with the bag, when the two of them had moved to the bedroom. Then he grabbed her hand, and led the way up the stairs to the main doors.
“I’m going to take you home in a taxi, just to make sure you get there safely.”
It was not a statement she could argue with, especially as the last time she had tried, she’d ended up over his knee, getting her bottom spanked.
    “Yes, Sir,” she replied.
As they walked onto the main street, the cold air hit her head on. The temperature must have dropped about twenty degrees since she had arrived at work that evening, and when Jacob stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her, keeping the worst of the drizzle and wind from reaching her body, she realized how good it felt having someone take care of her like this.
She couldn’t remember the last time a man had seen her home. Most of the men she’d dated had left her to her own devices at the end of the night.
She had really missed out. If she had met someone like Jacob a couple of years ago, she might not have turned out to be so cynical about men and relationships. If only she had known it could be like this.
He might not be too impressed if she let him in to the apartment, though, especially if Nicky had left it in the same state as last night. And the night before, come to think of it.
Nicky had promised that she wouldn’t let that creep, AJ, in anymore, but Megan had a suspicion that her friend had been doing a lot of entertaining while she was at the BDSM club, and had got whoever was there to leave before Megan got home.
Maybe she would just be able to thank Jacob at the front door and say goodnight, although that would seem a bit rude.
God, what was she going to do? She really didn’t want Nicky
