of white juice that flew over his chest and landed on his face. He’d tried to turn his head

to avoid getting sprayed with his own come, but he hadn’t been fast enough.

Ed pushed deeper and continued to fuck him with slow, easy bangs. Jonathan

lifted his legs off Ed’s arms and pressed his feet against Ed’s chest. Then he looked up at

Ed with wide brown eyes and licked his own come off his lips. When Jonathan

swallowed back, Ed’s mouth fell open.

Jonathan licked some more and smiled. “I like the taste,” he said, shrugging his

shoulders. “Hope it doesn’t creep you out or anything.”

Ed shook his head. “It’s hot,” he said. “Do it again.”

When his face was clean and there wasn’t a drop of come left, Ed finally pulled

out and helped him sit up straight. He kissed him on the lips and turned sideways to

remove the condom. While he was pulling it off, he felt Jonathan’s hand reach down and

grab his ass. He had gentle hands and his fingertips were soft. He squeezed it a few times

and said, “Damn, you have an ass like granite. And it’s small and cute.” Ed frowned. Jake used to say the same thing about his ass. And all of a sudden he

felt overwhelmed. He wanted Jonathan to get dressed and leave. He’d been ready to ask

Jonathan to spend the night, but when Jonathan started talking about his ass that way,

images of his dead lover flashed before his eyes. “Will you be able to go out to dinner

with us tomorrow night?” He didn’t want to fight again. He was tired of fighting.

Jonathan jumped off the table and reached down for his clothes. He didn’t even

mention spending the night, which left Ed slightly confused. “Probably,” Jonathan said,

“I don’t want to disappoint Noah.” Then he reached down between Ed’s legs and cupped

Ed’s penis and balls in the palm of his hand. Ed’s balls overflowed in his palm. “I’ll see

you in the morning,” he said. “Try to get some sleep tonight.”

Ed’s head jerked. When Jonathan grabbed his balls this way, a silky sensation

passed through his entire body. “I’ll try,” he said. “But I can’t promise anything. I just

don’t sleep much anymore.”

He kissed Ed goodbye and left the house naked again, holding his clothes to his

chest. On his way out the door, he turned to Ed and said, “By the way, I really like that

idea about the free clinic for dogs and cats.”

“You do?” Ed shook his head a few times. This was the last thing he’d expected

to hear. He would have assumed Jonathan had forgotten all about the clinic.

Jonathan shrugged his shoulders. Then he looked at Ed’s naked body and his head

went up and down a few times. “I think a free clinic like that would be good for you, and

for the entire community.”

“I think so, too,” Ed said. When Jonathan turned to leave and stepped down the back stairs, Ed wanted to go

after him and bring him back to spend the night. But he didn’t. He just stood there with

his hands on his hips, wondering why he couldn’t move his feet.

Chapter Seven

The first weekend in December, Noah announced to everyone that he’d been

chosen to perform in his school’s Christmas show. It was a Saturday, and they were

eating dinner in Chinatown. Jonathan wanted to take them all out, and this time he’d

insisted on paying.

Noah made his announcement softly and slowly a few minutes after their meals

had arrived. Ed and Lisa looked at each other, then at Noah. Jonathan congratulated him

and reached for his chopsticks. But he noticed Noah wasn’t smiling. He sat there staring

at his food, with his hands folded on his lap and his head bent down.

Jonathan and Noah were sitting next to each other. He put his hand on Noah’s

shoulder and asked, “What’s wrong, buddy?”

Noah shrugged his
