sofas scattered throughout. There were candles along the walls, which added to the ambiance.
“Mr. Hamilton,” a tall blonde spoke from behind the hostess stand. “Your brother is expecting you; I’ll show you to his table in the back.”
We followed her through the crowd of people mingling in various places and then I spotted Cain moving in our direction. Good looks definitely run in the Hamilton family. I hadn’t seen him in twelve years, but I knew in an instant who he was. He had an aura about him that I remembered from all those years ago. So serious and reserved. A dominating presence that no one could deny. He had jet black hair and a little bit of scruff, very refined. He was wearing black slacks with a button-down white shirt that was rolled up just a little. He was the complete opposite of Ryker. But then, I noticed a tattoo peeking from under the sleeve, which surprised me.
“Brother,” Cain rumbled through the crowd, and a smile spread across his face. I wasn’t expecting that either; he didn’t strike me as someone who smiled very often. They shook hands as if they were business colleagues, instead of brothers.
“Cain,” Ryker said with a smile, and he squeezed my hand a little tighter.
“This must be Natalie,” Cain said with a smile and leaned in, giving me an unexpected peck on the cheek. His eyes immediately went to Ryker, who quickly cut his eyes at him before turning his attention back to me.
“Just being polite bro, not trying to rattle the beast.” He chuckled and gave Ryker a slap on the shoulder. Ryker simply shook his head and gave that crooked little smile that I adored, scratching his beard.
“Come this way, I have a table reserved” he said and extended his arm, leading us to a round table in the corner, with a booth style sofa wrapping halfway around it. There was a woman sitting there, alone. She was stunning. She had long black hair and flawless skin. She was beautiful and exotic. She seemed so deep in thought. She was inspecting her glass of wine until we got a little closer. As soon as she locked her eyes on Cain, she sat up straighter and gave him a smile.
“Darling,” Cain said quietly, and the woman stood to her feet. Cain grabbed her hand and locked it through his arm. She hardly looked in our direction, she was captivated by him.
“Sierra, this is my brother Ryker and his girlfriend Natalie.”
“Ryker, Natalie, this is Sierra,” Cain stated as he rubbed her hand, gently. This seemed to bring her back to us and she extended her hand.
“Nice to meet you both,” she spoke softly as we both shook her hand.
“Nice to meet you,” I said.
“I’ll send drinks over. I’ve got to work the room a bit,” Cain stated before whispering in Sierra’s ear. She simply nodded and sat back down at the table.
Ryker gave me a secret smile and then nodded towards the table.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Ryker. Cain speaks very highly of you,” she said as a waitress brought two glasses of wine and a beer to our table.
“Good to know,” Ryker said as he took a swig of his beer. He chose that moment to slide his hand under the table and rest it on my thigh.
“Cain did an amazing job with the opening,” Sierra said softly as she looked around. I got the feeling she was looking for Cain more than admiring the restaurant.
“He really did,” I chimed in as Ryker put his hand between my thighs to spread them apart. I uncrossed my legs and tried to keep my grin hidden.
“So what do you do for a living?” I asked Sierra, trying to make small talk as Ryker proceeded to move his hand up my inner thigh and run his fingers gently over my panties. I squeezed my thighs together, knowing I couldn’t hide this for very long. It was impossible to hide the way he made me feel when he put his hands on me.
“I’m a therapist,” Sierra answered as she lifted her glass to her lips, taking a small sip.
Ryker continued to run his fingers over my panties, my breathing
