Brock's cheek once more.
"I am enamored by you, Brock Hart."
    "Stop. I can't stand relationships."
    "You will endure this one."
"Why?" Brock shouted. "Can't you take a hint?"
Cupping Brock's face in his hands, Daniel kissed him passionately.

And though he didn't want to feel it, Brock's heart pounded in delight. Moaning, giving in, Brock licked at Daniel's tongue gently.
"Better." Daniel smiled in pride, petting his hair again lovingly. "I must go."
His eyes glazed as he watched Daniel dress, Brock didn't want him to go. How weird was that?
"When ... when will I see you again?" Brock mumbled.
    "Soon."
"Will you be at the club this weekend?"
"I will see you before that."
Brock climbed out of bed and waited as Daniel sat down to put on his boots. "Promise?"
    "Yes. Don't worry."
"Can I have your phone number?"
"I will contact you." Daniel headed for the front door.
    "Danny!"
    Daniel paused and looked back.
"Wait." Brock caught up to him. Wrapping around Daniel's clothed body, Brock wriggled his nakedness against him. "Kiss me goodbye."
"Aw, that is so sweet," Daniel purred. "Yes. Kiss me."
Brock reached around Daniel's neck, pushing his head from behind to deepen the kiss. Feeling his cock begin to rise in earnest, Brock was disappointed when Daniel broke the contact.
"I will see you very soon."
As the door opened, Brock hid behind it, watching as Daniel stood at the elevator. They stared at each other as 91

long as they could until the elevator doors shut separating them. Brock closed and locked his door, wandering back to the bedroom feeling lonely. Rechecking the alarm clock, he burrowed under the blankets and fell fast asleep.

Chapter Seven
"Brock Hart, how can I help you?"
"I would like some input on a retirement account."
Brock tapped the computer keys. "Yes ... I would be happy to set that up for you."
Faith got his attention. She was holding his latte. He waved to her to bring it in. "Thanks." He cupped the wire on his headset.
    "Do you need me?"
"Please." He gestured to the chair. "Yes, sorry," Brock spoke into the phone. "When can you come in? Mornings are best for me." He caught Faith gazing at him affectionately.
"Mornings are fine. How about ten?"
"Great. Just give me your name and phone number."
    The man did.
Flipping open his appointment book, Brock nodded as he scribbled. "See you then." He disconnected the line and gave her his full attention.
"Did you have a nice weekend?" she asked.
Once he sipped his latte, he replied, "It was ...
    interesting."
    "Why? Do anything exciting?"
    "Always!" He laughed.
"Are you still pulling on your collar?"
He hadn't realized he had been. "Yes. It's still a little sore."
    "Do you need a band-aid?"
"No. I have one on it already."

"It's been a week, Brock. Maybe you should see a doctor and ask why it's not healing properly."
"You're beginning to sound like a mother." He smiled to soften the admonishment, drinking more of his coffee.
When she walked around the desk to stand next to him, Brock hoped Faith wasn't attracted to him. He had just hired her a month ago and they hadn't had any conversations other than work, at least nothing deep.
"You need to take care of yourself, Brock."
    "I do."
"Do you have anyone at home who cooks for you?"
"Listen, Faith..." It was becoming awkward.
"I can help you out. You know, make you some nice dinners."
Meeting her eyes, he smiled warmly. "Faith, you are adorable, attentive, and sweet, but..." He narrowed his eyes at her. "You are also barking up the wrong tree."
"Sorry?" She took a step back in reflex.
"I want to tell you first how much I appreciate you. Your work is impeccable, and I can't ask for more."
"Yes, you can ask for more."
That remark made it plain she was interested.
