kitchen, but the noise sounded far away to her fogged senses. Miki snuggled into the plush robe they’d dressed her in, the soft material smelled of Dayne and sunshine. With her eyes closed, she relaxed into Grant’s warm embrace and let the beating of his heart lull her into that space between wake and sleep.
Grant shifted underneath her and the press of his erection into her thigh sent arrows of need into her core. Would he always affect her this way? Neither of them could touch her without her body reacting. Overwhelmed by her continuous arousal, Miki pushed up and tried to get off his lap.
“Uh-huh, stay here. Dayne is reheating the omelettes so we can finish breakfast.” Grant tightened his arm around her waist.
“I can’t sit on your lap to eat.”
“Yes, you can.” Dayne put a plate in front of them. Picking up a fork, he broke off a piece of omelette and raised it to her mouth. “Open up.”
“You—” Miki had no choice but to take the offered food. While she chewed Grant used his free hand to feed himself before getting a second bit ready for her. She opened her mouth to protest as she leaned over to grab a fork of her own, but Dayne snatched the utensil out of reach and Grant fed her another forkful of egg. Chewing quickly, Miki swallowed the mouthful and spoke in a rush before either of them could shove more food down her throat. “You know I am capable of feeding myself.”
“Yep. But it’s kind of nice taking care of you like this,” Dayne said as he offered her more.
She flattened her lips, determined to stop him. But they were just as adamant to get their way. Together they initiated a sneak attack. Grant tickled her ribs and the second she gasped Dayne pushed the food past her lips.
“Hey. No fair,” she spoke around the omelette.
Dayne grinned as he forked some into his own mouth.
“You need to eat and we want to feed you. Seems a simple enough thing to me,” Grant said.
    “Spoon feeding me is simple?”
“Actually, yes. See?” Dayne scooped up some more egg and brought it to her lips. “Open wide.”
Miki rolled her eyes. “I’m not two you know.” She opened her mouth and took the food.
“No.” Dayne looked down at her breasts where they were partially visible between the crossed lapels of the robe. “You’re definitely not two.”
Banked fire smouldered in Dayne’s eyes and an answering warmth flared in the pit of her belly. She squirmed on Grant’s lap as she squeezed her legs together in an attempt to ease the throb. The move dragged a groan from his chest. Grant tossed his fork on the table and placed his hand on her leg just above her knee, his fingers digging into her muscle.
“Had enough?” The rough, gravelly sound of his voice shivered over her skin.
Dayne put his fork down and stood. The flames in his gaze burned brighter and he offered her a hand. “Come on. Time to clean up.”
Grant’s hand moved to her lower back and with a gentle push, he helped guide Miki to her feet. Her legs were like jelly, wobbling and threatening to give way, but she didn’t get a real chance to test them before Dayne bent his shoulder to her stomach and lifted her off her feet.
    “Hey!”
He patted her arse. “Relax. Let us do all the work.”
Relax? He had her slung over his shoulder like a wet towel, how was she supposed to relax? “And what exactly are we doing?”
    “Cleaning up.”
Miki raised her head to look at Grant walking behind them. “Cleaning up?”
“Yep, time for a shower.” His sexy grin curled her toes and sent heat spiralling through her belly.
They entered Grant’s room and Dayne put her on her feet. Her head spun and she took a second to steady herself. Grant made his way to the bathroom Miki could see through the open door on the other side of his big bed. Dayne gripped her hand in his and tugged her across the floor.
    “Come on.”
Grant’s bathroom was spacious. Large white tiles covered the walls with a row of smaller
