concerned.
“Are you okay?” I shook my head to provide him a visual of my response.
“Just, thinking about the things I need to do, that’s all,” I said, leading him off the inquisitive path. I kept thinking of how my last relationship started like this but ended in pure tragedy. He kissed me, pulling me away from my thoughts, stood and held out his hand to help me up.
“Here you go, Maya.” He tossed me a T-shirt to wear with my leggings as we dried off.
“Thank you,” I replied as I grabbed my dental care. A low chuckle and smile appeared.
    “What?” I asked curiously.
“You always carry dental hygiene with you?”
“Only when I go out with the girls. You never know with them what kind of trouble we will get into.”
“I believe it. Those girls are wild, except Samantha.”
“Don’t let her fool you,” I said. I looked up and he caught my attention as he was getting dressed. My God, his body was sinfully amazing. His mouth was moving, but I couldn’t hear a sound over the noise his body was making. His perfectly chiseled abs that flexed as he continued to dry his hair with his towel. I watched him pull up his jeans and button them and I couldn’t stop staring at his V. Flashbacks of last night and this morning flooded my mind and I began to get aroused.
“Did you hear me?” I was embarrassed. I was caught staring at him hard; I didn’t hear him speak to me.
“Uh, no sorry, I must’ve spaced out.” I giggled a little thinking about the embarrassment I was feeling. He walked over to me and caressed my face.
“I asked if Blue Collar was okay with you,” he repeated while putting on his T-shirt that seemed to mold to every crease of his abs.
“Sure, that’s fine. I love their food.” I swallowed hard trying to get a hold of my feelings. Having him that close, and with my thoughts wondering, proved to be a challenge.
“Okay then. You ready?” he asked, grabbing his keys and putting his low ankle socks and Chucks on. I shook my head yes in response still mesmerized by his body, his smile, his presence. As I stood to my feet, he grabbed and kissed me, making my heart beat faster. I placed my arms around his neck as he placed his hands around my waist. Our kisses started to turn more passionate and we pulled away, staring at each other intently.
“We better go,” he said, panting, “or else we will not make it out of here.” I laughed as we headed out the door.
When we walked outside, I noticed that we were close to my place.
“So this is where you stay, huh?” My question trying to serve as an icebreaker. We had been in complete silence since entering the car.
“Sort of. I got that place because I am here a lot and sometimes it’s a late evening on the job sites or in design and I would be too tired to drive to my actual place.”
    “And where is that?”
“It’s in Fort Lauderdale. Not too far, but I like convenience.”
“I love the fact that mostly everything I do is within a fifteen-minute drive time for me.” There was an obvious awkwardness between us. I could feel his eyes gazing at me and when I would look up, he would act as if he had been paying attention to the road the whole time. When we arrived at my place, I decided to invite him in.
“Do you think it’ll be safe?” He smirked and raised his eyebrows with that devilish smile on his mouth.
“Yes, we will be safe. I’m too hungry to think about anything else right now and I’m sure you will need the fuel.”
We entered the building and I introduced Nicholas to our door attendant, figuring he would be coming by often. I asked for a visitor tag that he could have for when he comes over, should he come over, if we have that type of relationship. Man, I had a lot to say and work out, I thought to myself. We got on the elevator and headed up to the third floor. It was a quiet ride with occasional glances and acknowledging smiles. I looked at the numbers lighting up indicating which floor we were on
