freshman year. Plus, I was drunk, too. You need to tone down your green-eyed monster. I would never do that to you.”
“I know that, but the thought of another man touching her drives me insane. It doesn’t help that you thought she was hot before you knew she was mine, because that still doesn’t make her not hot.”
“To me it does. She is pretty to me, but now I see her just like I did when she was younger, like a kid sister. We have been like brothers, and I don’t want that to change. Sarah is a great woman. You’re both lucky that you have found each other. Am I still going to be invited to the wedding?”
“First, I have to ask her to marry me, if you don’t mind. I already told her she was going to be my wife, and she didn’t fight me on it, so I take that as a yes. I would appreciate it if you would be my best man, though. Do you think you could handle that?”
“Of course. Give me a hug you big dummy.” We hugged it out and the fight was over with.

SARAH
The two guys were hugging just as I walked in.
“Oh, I see how it is, Michael. You weren’t jealous that he was trying to take me but upset that he wasn’t trying to flirt with you.” With my hands on my waist I scolded them. “David, you’re a whore. I am telling your sister.” I added a big harrumph while attempting to keep the smile from my face.
“Shush, it’s our secret,” Michael said, before stealing a kiss from me.
“You think you are funny, don’t you? Didn’t I already warn you?” He looked at me, attempting to be stern, but it wasn’t working.
Batting my lashes and with a coy smile I replied. “Yes, sir.”
“Enough, you two. I am about to vomit.” David pretended to stick a finger down his throat.
“You don’t like it, you can leave. I need to ravish my sexy assistant.” Michael was ogling my breasts, ravishing me sounded like a good idea.
“Actually, Mr. Vitale, you can’t right now. You have a conference call in about two minutes. That’s what I came in here to tell you.”
“Come, David, let’s leave the boss man to do some work.” I could feel Michael’s eyes on us as I dragged David by the hand and out the door.
“You could close the door. Can’t get good help these days!” He shouted out to us before getting up to do it himself.
“Add it to my list of infractions.” Michael couldn’t help but laugh as he closed the door.
“You two are suited for each other. It is rare to see that man laugh. So let me ask. Is my sister going to have to go on a diet any time soon?”
“What do you mean?” A woman’s weight was a dangerous subject.
“I mean to fit in her bridesmaid dress,” he said with a wink.
“Hahaha, so funny. I am going to tell her you said that, but I don’t know.”
“Why not? You two are perfect together. The chemistry is exploding when you two are around each other.”
“It’s not that. He hasn’t really asked me. Although I don’t think I have a choice in the matter.” I knew he was serious in his office earlier.
“See? You might as well prepare my sister in advance. She is going to freak out if it is short notice, and knowing Michael, it will be. Hell, he might kidnap your ass and take you to Vegas.”
“He probably would if I make him wait. Which I might do just to annoy him. Actually, I am scared. I am too happy and with Jason out there, I am afraid something will happen to take away my happiness.”
“Don’t let that bastard ruin your life. Stacy always said she couldn’t believe you were dating that asshole anyway. When she told me, I was pissed. I wanted to kill him myself. I am glad Michael got to wail on his ass. Just don’t forget to live, because if you do, then he is taking more from you. If you need to be with someone while Michael is working or something, you could stay with me or Stacy.” He gave me a kiss on the cheek and left, but not before he reminded me that if Michael or I need anything to give him a call.
