of things on the kitchen counter.
Tremaine finally took this opportunity to introduce me to her. “Jess, this is my brother, Forrest.”
She sighed deeply and nodded, keeping her eyes on her perfectly red painted nails. I guessed they were more important than looking up at me.
“Jess, I really need you to tell me where she is.”
“No,” she snapped, not taking her eyes off her nails.
“Jess, I love her and can’t live without her,” Tremaine tried to persuade her, but I could already tell that Jessica was the type of girl that could not be persuaded so easily.
“No Tremaine. I’m not telling you where my best friend is. Why? Because you don’t deserve a beautiful woman like her. You cheated on her, with your baby mama. So go and love your baby mama boy, not Monique,” she said, telling him her thoughts.
I agree that what Trey did was wrong, but everybody makes mistakes, right? Everyone should be allowed a second chance, right?
“Jess, what part of I fucking love her don’t you understand?!” Tremaine began to raise his voice at her. I knew that he was becoming more and more frustrated, because being away from Monique was killing him inside.
I haven’t even met the girl, but from what Trey had told me about her, she sounded great. I just hope he’ll be able to get her back.
“Don’t be raising your voice at me, Trey! I’m not going to let you think for one second that you can get me to surrender to you just by shouting. Don’t forget who you’re talking to, mister.”
Oh... So she was feisty? Hmm... I love my women feisty.
“Jess, look... I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t even think properly without her being here. I need her back,” Tremaine told her gently, his voice cracking slightly. I just hoped this nigga didn’t start crying again, because last time he started crying, he didn’t stop for hours.
“Trey, you need to give her some space. You broke her heart, don’t forget that. Even if I tell you where she is, she won’t want to see you.”
And those last few lines did it for Trey. He walked out the kitchen with his hands covering his face.
He had left the kitchen, to go cry about his love, leaving Jess and I alone.

We were alone, only because Trey needed some more “crying” time to reminisce about Monique. Honestly, he brought this on himself. He shouldn’t have cheated on her, then he wouldn’t have lost her.
His name was Forrest. It wasn’t your typical male name, but I liked it. It was different, unique and beautiful. Just like he was. I was trying my very best not to look up and him because every time I looked at him, I felt something inside me fire up.
My heart was beating fast, and my knees were feeling weak. This is what this fine, sexy man was doing to me and I hadn’t even heard him speak. I hardly knew anything about him.
“Hey,” he finally decided to break the awkward silence.
“Hi,” I said quietly, finally looking up at him. The way he was staring at me was making me feel slightly intimidated. Only because he had a bold, intense gaze, which slightly turned me on at the same time.
“How are you copin’ without Monique?”
I only realized now that he had a sexy Virginian accent, which only added to his already gorgeous persona. His deep, baritone voice was proof to me that this man was beautiful. However, I was scared that he was another Tremaine. A player. A smooth operator. A cheater.
“I’m doing fine. I miss her though,” I informed him, not taking my eyes off his. God knows I’m happy that I saw this fine hunk of a man today, or else I don’t think we would have met at all.
“Well, I’m sure you’ll be just fine without her,” he smiled at me, crossing his muscular arms across his red fitted t-shirt, making me wonder how good those hidden muscles would look without his shirt.
Even his smile was beautiful. White pearly teeth sparkling, and those thick, luscious lips.
“Yeah. I just hope I don’t get into
