against his cock as he pulled slowly
back and then repeated the stroke. Obviously he had misread her and as she
lifted to meet each of his thrusts, he concentrated on bringing them both the
same amount of pleasure she had treated them to earlier.
Brooke’s elation at the way her body
accepted Alec’s cock was short lived as, with each plundering dip of his cock,
she felt the now familiar coldness invading her. Despair welled up as she
grasped his arms, hoping to hold him to her as she struggled to hold on to the
arousal he was responsible for and those men were responsible of robbing her
of. When she realized it was no use, that it wasn’t going to happen for her
again, despite the promising start, she did what she had gotten so good at
doing. Continuing to lift for each deep stroke, she increased her breathing,
moaning a little here and there, then closed her eyes and drew upon her memory
of the last time she had been in this bed with this man and how good it had
been.
Alec didn’t know what was going on with
her, but as she faked her way through an imaginary orgasm, he vowed he’d get to
the bottom of it. Her climax downstairs hadn’t been faked nor had her
enthusiasm in going down on him. She had still been damp and soft from that
orgasm, her clit still red and swollen when he had entered her moments ago. Her
demands to be fucked had been desperate, but real and it was only after he was
inside her that her body had changed, no longer eager to reach that plateau
that it had been striving for.
His body, on the other hand, had no
problem reaching that high, and, regardless of her duplicity, he felt his balls
draw up and his cock jerk with his impending climax. Groaning, he let go,
erupted inside her drying sheath and fought to control his thrusts and his
temper before slowly pulling from her unresisting body.
“I’ll be right back,” he said, his eyes
hard on her as she smiled at him with feigned pleasure. “And then you can tell
me what the hell just happened.”
Shit, Brooke thought as she sat up and
watched him stride angrily into the bathroom. She had forgotten how astute he
was, how tuned in he had been to her body’s every reaction the last time she
was here. Scrambling up, she hurriedly slipped her dress on and dashed
downstairs wondering what made her think she could fake her way through her
failings with a man like Alec. Jumping into the golf cart, she drove back to
her bungalow, despair and frustration clawing at her as she realized he had
been her last hope of ever getting her life back and her revenge on those who
had robbed her of so much.

    Chapter Six

Brooke took her cup of coffee and went to
sit on her small front porch. Propping her feet up on the rail, she took a sip
of the hot brew and relished the heat in her mouth and throat as well as the
warmth from the midmorning sun beating down on her upturned face. The sound of
the waves rolling onto the beach and the stunning view of the crystal blue
water that extended as far as she could see worked to soothe the restlessness
that two sleepless, toss filled nights had wrought. The fact that she hadn’t
seen or heard from Alec in those two days didn’t help her nerves. Alec wasn’t
the type of man to let what happened between them, or rather what didn’t
happen, go without an explanation.   Neither had she gotten up the nerve to seek him out again and give him
that explanation. She wasn’t ready to give up on her plan, nor was she ready to
admit defeat when it came to overcoming this block her traitorous body had
developed. She just had to figure out what plan B was since plan A failed so
miserably.
No, she thought, Plan A had been a go
until the last minute. She had gotten further with Alec, stayed aroused longer
with him than she had with the two previous men she had been intimate with
since Richard had betrayed her trust that awful night. Three months had passed
since
