he wasn’t jumping the gun as he hit the send button.
There was a brief pause but soon his phone buzzed again. “Definitely. How does this weekend sound?”
Jared almost did a fist pump as relief washed over him and a huge smile
broke out on his face. He glanced over to see Julie eyeing him quizzically and
he winked at her before he replied to Cole’s text. “That would be fantastic, man. If you can get a way, we’ll make the
time.”
    “Don’t worry, I’ll be there.”
    “Great, I’ll set everything up.”
“Jules is okay with this, right?”
That question gave him pause for a moment and crossed his fingers again
as he replied. “Oh yeah, she’s looking
forward to it just as much as we are.”
    “Perfect. I was hoping we
wouldn’t have to surprise her again.”
Jared hoped against hope that wouldn’t be necessary as well.
Nevertheless, he responded confidently, “No,
none of that this time.”
“That’s good. So you can pick me
up on Friday night then.”
    “I have a better idea. I’ll text
you the details later.”
“No problem. Take care man, and
give our angel a kiss for me, okay?”
    “You got it.”
He quickly put the phone back on
the bedside table, saying a silent prayer in his mind as he prepared to tell
his wife his intentions for them. Lowering the volume on the television, he
rolled onto his side to face her. She looked up from her work to shoot him a
puzzled look, probably wondering why he was no longer watching the game.
“Almost done?” he asked, just to get the conversation going.
She sighed and put the papers aside, then pushed the glasses up onto
her head. “Not nearly. I’ve done more than half though, so I can stop for a
while. What’s up?”
He rolled onto his back and put one hand behind his head then patted
his naked chest. “Come take a rest for a bit and talk to me.”
She didn’t hesitate to slither down on the bed until she was lying flat
as well, quickly snuggling into his side with her head on his massive chest.
Jared’s hand found her hair immediately, brushing it from her face and twirling
the strands around his fingers. She in turn, used her finger tips to trail
circles over his pecs and through the sprinkling of hairs on his chest.
“You didn’t tell me,” he began.
    “Tell you what?”
“What you thought about last weekend. How you felt about what
happened.”
Her hand stilled for a brief moment then continued its slow, lazy
journey over his taut flesh. “I enjoyed myself … immensely. You have to know
that, right? It was an experience I’ll never forget, that’s for sure.”
His hand trailed down to her shoulder and he caressed her skin in the
same maddeningly unhurried manner she was caressing his. “Yes, I did know that.
You were fucking awesome in the way you gave of yourself and accepted the
pleasure both Cole and I gave you.”
He looked down to see her cheeks become tinged with crimson and a soft
chuckle erupted from him. “It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, angel. The
fantasy belonged to all three of us and the fulfilling of it was all our doing
as well. You were the central factor, though, and I’m so grateful that you let
it happen.”
“I wanted it to happen,” she whispered, even as she buried her head in
the crux of his neck.
    “That’s good. I’m glad.”
They lay like that for a few moments, their chests rising and falling
in tandem as they continued to touch each other. Finally, Jared worked up the
nerve to say what he was thinking. “How would you feel about doing it again?”
Her hand stopped moving and then she was pushing herself up into a
sitting position so she could stare down at him. The look on her face was not
an unpleasant one though, and that gave Jared hope. “You want to?” she asked,
her voice tinged with what sounded like the same hope he was feeling.
He smiled, sitting up as well. “I want to, yes. The question is, do
you?”
She pushed a hand through her hair as she slumped back
