go
at midnight tonight.”
“Very good, Vokin,” I pat his shoulder.
“Thank you, sir,” he turns to his men and roars, “come on,
guys, let’s get moving, quick.”
“You have good men,” Leila smiles at me.
    “We’re lucky.”

    LEILA
It’s dark outside.   There is no moonlight tonight.  We’re
getting ready to go.
The wind is so strong that I feel the tent is to be carried
away the next moment.  I add more firewood to the fireplace.
Auzo smiles at me, “Maybe we shouldn’t do that.”
    “But I’m so cold.”
“You can eat more meat instead.”
    “Why?”
“If the tent is too warm, you’re going to feel too cold once
you’re outside.  But the meat will give you good energy and keep your body warm.”
“One more bite and I will barf, Auzo,” I shake my head
slightly.
I’m not joking.   Auzo has been ‘preparing’ me for the
midnight mission with a huge lunch and then a humongous dinner.  “You need
energy.”
“But I have enough energy already.”
“You’re going to miss hot meals for a while.”
    “But not now.”
“Look, you don’t act like a real soldier.”
    “I no longer care, Auzo.”
I think for a moment and then pull out two pieces of
firewood from the fire place.  “Look, maybe we should build a house.”
“A what ?” he stares at me.
“A house , h-o-u-s-e, Mr. English Professor,” this is
his self-claimed title anyway.
    “You confuse me, Leila.”
Gosh, these tribe warriors, they know so much about tents and caves .  But they don’t know anything about houses.
I look around at the tent and smile, “A house is a tent
with… solid walls, okay?”
“Okay,” he smiles, and picks up a short knife, pushing it
deep down into the side of his boot.
“So, tell me what a solid wall is,” I tease.
He rolls his eyes, thinking.  After a while he smiles, “A
tent with horse skin.”
    “Right, Mr. Professor.”
“Tell me what it is,” he grins.
I answer right away, “A solid wall is made of concrete.”
    Oops, no good.  “Or bricks.”
His grin freezes, his face turning rosy.
Shit.   I’m running out of vocabulary now.
“Um… a solid wall…” I stumble over my words.  Then I come up
with a great idea.  “A solid wall is a wall made of stones.  Just like a cave,
okay?”
His face brightens up, his eyes shining.   “Living in a
cave?  I love it.”
“Oh, no, not a real cave.  You build it with stones.  But
there are so many goodies in a modern house.”
    “Like what?”
Gosh, what a great question.  I raise my head and see my
tiny condo right away.  I always thought I needed a bigger and better condo.
But at the moment, I feel that my tiny condo is so perfect, so comfy, and so
satisfactory.
iPad.  Oh, no, let’s start with electricity and water.  Then
everything goes with it.  The kitchen, the coffee maker, the fridge, oh, yeah,
the ice cream and all kind of foods and drinks.
Then the list goes on and on, the big TV and my lovely iPad appear
on the list of course.
Oh, shoot, I forgot, my cellphone, too.   I have to admit that
she’s my best friend.  I mean the best, best friend.
Then of course my bedroom is another place I miss so much.
The bed is so incredibly comfortable and… exciting.
My king size bed is perfect for me and... gosh, who was the
last guy I fucked?  Also, the battery in my vibrating dildo is probably dead by
now.
I’m sure I will need new batteries if I want to enjoy it
again.  Oh, boy, that’s something so freaking exciting.  I swear…
    “Leila?”
I hear a far away voice.  I raise my eyes and see Auzo smile
at me.  Oops, I’ve been thinking so dirty. I blush all over.
“Are you thinking about a mod…, heck.”
“M-o-d-e-r-n.  That means the best and most up to date,” I
give him the information.
    “Right, a m-o-d-e-r-n house?”
“You bet,” I touch my burning cheeks.  Gosh, does he notice
them?  I peek at him.  He is busy packing now,
